Well that was fun.
Even though we don’t have a showroom in Clerkenwell we made the most of the sun coming out and meeting up with some of wonderful partners.
A highlight for us was the “Behind Closed Doors” presentation by Dutch wood flooring manufacturer Hakwood. They teamed up with interiors company Shape London to install a three-metre-high pop-up street scene of Dutch townhouses, decorated with pink tiles; each of the houses featured a door that revealed a series of miniature interiors containing Hakwood flooring.
When it came to office interiors it was great to see an ever increasing presence of Sit & Stand desks on the market, nearly a third of all of our desks sold in the last 6 months have been Sit & Stand which shows the combination of well-being understanding and accessible costs has meant users can benefit from a more active work lifestyle.
A key feature for us at the show, in our capacity of desk manufacturing was the well-emerged principle of the office surrounding adapting to the user, rather than the other way around. Our good friends at Orangebox demonstrated their established Smartworking approach with a number of effective, adaptable and stylish products. It is clear the office environment is evolving, agile and Smartworking at no longer buzz words but are definitions for how an office needs to be.
We stand in admiration that we are able to be part of some of these amazing spaces. Clerkenwell Design Week 2018 has got us excited at the prospect of what the next amazing space will look like.
